Nylon Sheet
Nylon Sheet is a very popular engineering plastic that offers the customer an excellent solution to many problems that other materials are unable to offer. This is also one of the reasons why this material has become one of the most well known materials and widely used engineering plastics that is suited to virtually all applications.

Nylon Sheet and it's Uses
Nylon Sheet has excellent wear characteristics and is used as a barrier between moving components to improve the lifespan of these individual components and therefore potentially the lifespan of important plant or machinery. Another reason for choosing Nylon Sheet is its ease of machining. This material can be milled, drilled and tapped in the same way the traditional materials such as bronze but at a much faster rate, which means that production efficiency is improved substantially. Another important reason is Nylon Sheet's ability to reduce transmitted shock to other mating components, this can further improve the lifespan of these components and reduce some vibration.

Nylon Sheet Grades
There are two main grades that are commonly specified, they are either Nylon 6 Sheet or Nylon 6.6 Sheet, both of them are excellent materials and choices between which grade to use is usually based on slightly improved temperature resistance of Nylon 6.6 or the improved size range offered by Nylon 6.

Nylon Sheet to save money
Because this excellent engineering plastic is initially more economical to buy and also much faster and easier to machine, Nylon Sheet will save time as well as money while still providing an excellent alternative that can and often does out perform more traditional and more expensive materials such as Bronze or Brass.
